Once Upon A Time…there was a story of three. First, there was a man and his love for dogs. He understood them, trained them, and spent his life working with organizations across the globe including the U.S. government, the NFL, and various universities. His gifts extended from training canines for law enforcement and the government to training for household pets. In his travels, he discovered as much about people as about dogs – namely, that most don’t understand how to identify common dog behaviors and triggers, let alone how to react to them. His goal was to help as many dogs and humans as possible. Over the years he created a canine education course geared to his clientele, since he knew that an evolved dog owner would lead to a happier dog-to-human relationship, and a better life for all.
The second part of this story continues with a multi-family property management company executive, whose decades of responsibilities included dealing with dog-related incidents and their outcomes, on multiple company properties. Sorting out the frequent problems ranging from bite incidents and ensuing insurance issues to soiled properties were tasks that became all too common and time-consuming, and expensive. If only there was a way to reduce the financial liabilities and lessen the impact of these doggy incidents for everyone within her communities, she mused. This affects everyone, from staff to residents – even those who aren’t dog owners.
Lastly, there was a friend who had worked in the muti-family world for nearly two decades. She realized that as the percentage of dogs in apartment communities increased, so did the troubles that too frequently come with the territory. What’s the solution, she wondered. So, together with her property management friend and the gifted dog trainer, they formulated a plan to help ALL multi-family communities find the path to furry happiness, with a custom, copyrighted canine education series of courses - Community Pet Advantage was born. Designed to help all communities across the U.S. with initial and ongoing, certified training for all residents with dogs, our course can help everyone. Dog owners will understand their pets better, and be able to react appropriately when incidents arise, and property managers will breathe a sigh of relief by saving time and money, with a reduction in dog-related incidents. Oh, and we make it fun, too. Woof!
